This comprehensive kit combines our rugged roof rack systems, high-access rear ladders, and our industry-leading chassis-mounted spare wheel carrier. Whether you are mounting a rooftop tent for a week in the wild or hauling heavy gear for work, this bundle provides the structural integrity and corrosion resistance your Defender deserves.

1. Choose Your Roof Rack System

Depending on your selected bundle, your kit includes one of the following high-performance racks:

  • Masai Tubular Roof Rack The classic rugged choice. Crafted from 1” (25mm) tubular steel, this rack is zinc-plated and finished with a durable black automotive powder coat. It features a 300mm height from the gutter line and includes removable bars specifically designed for sunroof access.
  • Masai Flat Mech Roof Rack The specialist choice for overlanders. Designed with a low profile specifically to accommodate folding rooftop tents, ensuring your tent sits level and secure. Like the tubular version, it features a steel base, zinc plating, and stainless steel hardware for maximum rust protection.

2. Rear Roof Access Ladders

Gain safe and easy access to your gear with our precision-engineered ladders:

  • Masai Design Full Ladder (RL01) : Manufactured from 25mm high-quality steel tubing. This design features a unique built-in lamp guard to protect your rear lights while providing a sturdy climbing platform.
  • Rear Roof Access Half Ladder (RL02) : The ideal solution for vehicles fitted with NAS rear steps or folding steps. This heavy-duty half-ladder provides a sleek look while maintaining full functionality for roof access.

3. Extra Heavy-Duty Spare Wheel Carrier (KTB500040-X)

Note: not compatible with pick up variations of the Land Rover Defender.

Standard door-mounted carriers are notorious for sagging and cracking rear doors. The Masai Spare Wheel Carrier is Chassis Mounted, transferring the weight of the wheel away from the door hinges and onto the vehicle’s frame.

  • Serviceable Design: Features hinged bushes with integrated grease nipples for a lifetime of smooth operation.
  • Superior Finish: Laser-cut steel with clean welding, zinc-plated and thermoplastic powder-coated.
  • Swing-Away Action: Moves with the door for easy access to the cargo area.

4. Rear Door Strengthening Kit (MA-SWC-STRENGTH-KIT)

Included for pre-2002 Defenders, this internal kit reinforces the inner door skin with steel uprights and cover plates. It is essential for "single skin" doors to handle the vibration and weight of a spare wheel carrier during off-road travel.

  • Corrosion Protection: Zinc-plated base layer with Automotive Black Powder Coat.
  • Hardware: All kits are supplied with Stainless Steel nuts, bolts, and washers to prevent "rust streaks" on your paintwork.
  • Compatibility: Suitable for Land Rover Defender 90, 110, Single Cab, and Crew Cab models (refer to your specific SKU for fitment).
