Heated Mirror Kit For Land Rover Defenders

Clear frost, ice, and heavy condensation quickly from your side mirrors with these advanced Heated Mirror Elements designed specifically for the Land Rover Defender.

Unlike traditional printed-circuit heating pads that suffer from localized heating "striping" and fragile fine traces, these elements utilize modern carbon-impregnated glasscloth technology. The flexible material distributes current uniformly across the entire surface area for rapid, even defogging and defrosting performance.

Key Features

  • Full-Surface Heating Technology: Carbon glasscloth construction ensures the entire mirror glass is heated evenly, eliminating the gaps and striping common in older designs.
  • High Durability: Features no fragile printed circuits that can easily crack or fail over time. The robust material even tolerates minor surface penetrations without breaking continuity.
  • Peel-and-Stick Application: Equipped with a high-strength self-adhesive backing for a straightforward, secure bond directly to the back of your factory mirror glass.
  • Complete Wiring Kit Included: Bundled with 4 meters of twin-core wire, associated electrical terminals, and a relay for a proper auxiliary circuit setup (switch sold separately so you can match your vehicle's existing dash switchgear).

Vehicle Compatibility

  • Land Rover Defender: All 90, 110, and 130 models with standard exterior wing mirrors.

Technical Specifications

  • Element Dimensions: 115mm x 167mm
  • Electrical Draw: 9.25W per element (~1.6 Amps total draw for the pair)
Workshop Tip: When routing the wiring from the door interior into the mirror housing, take your time feeding the cables through the swivel arm or utilizing protective conduit. This prevents the wires from pinching or fraying when the mirror head is adjusted or folded back.
